Eight questions, in three groups

These are the eight questions Vestry Rose Weddings is asked most often, grouped by what they are about. Every answer opens where it sits, and the index below goes straight to one of them.

Service

How does a couple choose between full planning and ceremony planning?

Read the two descriptions on the Services page and choose by how much of the day needs holding. Full wedding planning carries the whole year — the suppliers, the timeline, the rehearsal and the day itself — and ceremony planning covers the ceremony alone and stops when the couple walk back down. Reception management is sold separately for the hours after that. A couple unsure between the two should say what is already booked, because that usually settles it.

Are the prices on the Services page final?

Three of the six prices are final for the scope described beside them. Catering coordination and floral design carry a “from” figure because both are sized by the guest count and the season, and the venue search is quoted in writing for the date and the number of people. In each of those three the exact amount is confirmed before anything is agreed. No commission is taken from any supplier, and nothing is charged through this website.

What should a couple know before the first consultation?

Vestry Rose Weddings takes twelve weddings a year and holds one consultation open each week, so the first meeting is arranged rather than walked into. Bring the date if there is one, the rough number of guests and the figure the day has to fit inside. A budget that cannot carry the guest list is said so at that meeting rather than after a deposit. The studio is on Marlowe Row, one floor, level from the pavement.

Can a date be held before anything is agreed?

Yes, and the date is the only thing the studio holds in advance. It is held for fourteen days once the scope and the price have been confirmed in writing, and nothing is held before that reply is sent. Holding a date costs nothing and commits a couple to nothing. Twelve weddings a year is the whole capacity, so a date already held cannot be doubled up, and the studio says so plainly rather than leaving two couples waiting on one day.

Still deciding

When the four answers above do not settle it, one message is faster than a fifth read. Name the date, the rough number of guests and the two services under consideration, and the studio replies with the one that fits.

Contact

Does this website book a wedding?

No. Every Book action on this website opens the contact page, and sending that form starts a conversation rather than confirming a wedding. The form is read during opening hours and answered in writing, and no message is treated as a booking until that written reply names the date, the scope and the price. Nothing on this website takes a payment or holds a date on its own.

How is a held date changed or cancelled?

Send the change to the address the written confirmation came from, or telephone during opening hours. A change of date, a change in the guest count and a cancellation are all handled the same way, and the studio confirms the new arrangement in writing before it stands. A message arriving outside opening hours is read on the next day the studio is open, and the studio is closed on Monday, so anything urgent is better raised by telephone.

Practical

Can the studio answer a dietary question before the tasting?

Yes, and before the tasting is the right time to ask. Catering coordination is the service that carries it: the studio holds the dietary list, passes it to the caterer in writing and checks the tasting against it rather than raising it on the day. Name the ingredient rather than the diet where that is possible. A question sent through the contact form is answered in writing during opening hours.

What happens to the details sent through the forms on this website?

The contact form passes the message and the reply address to the studio, and the subscribe form stores an email address only. Neither is used for anything else, and neither is sold or passed to a third party. The Privacy page sets out what each form collects, why it is collected, how long it is kept and how to ask for it to be removed. Every subscribe message carries an unsubscribe link.

Ask the ninth question

Anything the eight answers above do not cover is answered by email during opening hours, and a reply names the date, the scope and the price.

Or write to hello@vestryrose.example and the studio replies during opening hours.
