A tank flushed until the discharge runs clear, the anode rod drawn and rated, the temperature and pressure relief valve tested against its seat, the setting checked and the connections inspected. Ends with the age of the tank and its likely remaining service life written down. Covers one tank.

Suits A tank that no longer holds temperature, a heater more than eight years old, and any tank that has never been flushed.

A supplied tap, mixer, sink, toilet or shower valve fitted to an existing connection, with isolation valves replaced where they are seized, the seal made and the joint tested under pressure before the tools are packed. The figure covers one fixture and standard connections; concealed or altered pipework is quoted after a diagnostic visit.

Suits A tap, mixer, toilet or shower valve already bought and waiting to go in, and any fixture leaking at the connection rather than at the body.

A survey of the supply pipework: its material, its size, its condition and the runs that can be reached without opening a finished surface. Ends with a written comparison of a partial repipe against a full one, each with its own figure and its own disruption set out beside it. There is no charge either way.

Suits Pipework at the end of its life, repeated pinhole leaks, and anyone weighing a large repair against replacing the run behind it.

Hardness, pressure and temperature measured at the incoming main and again at one fixture, the state of any existing filtration or softener recorded, and the effect the water is having on the fittings already installed described. Ends with a written note on what treatment would and would not change.
