Eight districts on the key plan
The plan below is a drawing, not a map. It keys eight Louisville districts to the kind of pipework each one tends to hold, so an enquiry can say where the problem is before it says what is wrong with it.

- 01 Old Louisville Subdivided houses on their original galvanised supply runs.
- 02 NuLu Converted warehouses with exposed copper and plastic runs.
- 03 Clifton Hillside lots on older sewer laterals; slow drains are common.
- 04 Schnitzelburg Shotgun houses with short runs and shallow crawl spaces.
- 05 Highlands Early-century houses on mixed copper and galvanised pipe.
- 06 Crescent Hill Sound mains, and a good many water heaters nearing the end.
- 07 Portland Older stock with patched supply lines; repipe country.
- 08 St. Matthews Post-war houses and small commercial units.
