Six services, each with a stated scope

Every figure below applies to the scope printed beside it. A price marked from is a starting figure for the simplest form of that service and is confirmed in writing before any work begins. Nothing on this page adds an item to a cart or holds an appointment.

S-01

Individual return

from $225

Preparation and filing of one personal return covering wage income, standard deductions and the common credits. The published figure applies to a single filer with one income source. A return that turns out to carry rental income, self-employment or a second state is re-quoted in writing before the work starts.

Best for a filer whose income arrives from one or two ordinary sources.

Usual timing five to seven working days from the complete document set.

Included

  • Federal and Ohio returns prepared and filed together
  • One review conversation, and a copy of the filed return with every supporting schedule

Not included prior-year returns, amended returns and representation in an audit, each of which is quoted separately.

Ask about individual return

S-02

Small-business return

from $650

Preparation of one business return for a sole trader, partnership or single-member company, including depreciation schedules and owner distributions. The published figure assumes the books are closed for the year and reconciled. Where they are not, the catch-up work is quoted as its own figure rather than folded into the return, so an owner can see what the return costs and what the bookkeeping costs.

Best for an owner filing for one entity with a completed set of accounts.

Usual timing ten to fifteen working days from closed books.

Included

  • Federal and Ohio business filings, with the owner schedules that follow from them
  • Depreciation carried forward from the prior year, or set up where none exists
  • A written summary of the positions taken and the reason for each
  • One follow-up conversation after the return is filed

Not included payroll filings, sales-tax returns and the personal return of any owner. Each is a separate service with its own figure.

Ask about small-business return

S-03

Monthly bookkeeping

from $320

Monthly categorisation, bank reconciliation and a plain-language statement of position, so the books are closed each month rather than rebuilt at year end. The published figure covers up to two bank accounts and one card. Transaction volume rather than revenue sets it, and the figure is reviewed twice a year.

Best for a business that wants the books kept current rather than caught up.

Usual timing delivered within ten working days of each month closing.

Included

  • Every transaction categorised and reconciled to the statement
  • A monthly position statement in plain language, and year-end books handed to whoever prepares the return

Not included payroll processing, raising invoices and chasing payment.

Numbered records in sequence. The three services above all begin the same way, with the documents in order, because a figure is only as sound as the record behind it.

S-04

Quarterly review

$275

A ninety-minute review of the quarter just closed, covering estimated payments, the position against the same quarter a year earlier and anything the books have flagged. The session ends with a written note of what was discussed and what was decided, so the next quarter starts from a record rather than from memory.

Best for an owner who already keeps books and wants a checkpoint four times a year.

Usual timing ninety minutes, once per quarter, with the note inside two working days.

Included

  • Estimated payment figures for the coming quarter
  • A comparison against the same quarter last year
  • A written note of the decisions taken

Not included filing of any kind. The review is a checkpoint and does not replace the annual return.

Ask about quarterly review

S-05

New-business setup

$480

Registration guidance, an opening chart of accounts and a written filing calendar for the first twelve months. The published figure covers one entity in Ohio and is the studio's work alone: registration fees are set by the state and federal bodies and are paid directly to them, so they never appear on an invoice from the studio.

Best for someone starting one entity who wants the filing calendar set before trading.

Usual timing about two weeks from the first conversation.

Included

  • An entity-type comparison written against the plan described
  • An opening chart of accounts sized to the trade
  • A twelve-month filing calendar carrying the dates that apply

Not included state and federal registration fees, and legal advice on the entity documents themselves.

S-06

Tax planning session

$195

One sixty-minute session on a single decision that carries a tax consequence: a purchase, a change of entity, a change in how income arrives. The session produces the options and their trade-offs in writing rather than one recommendation, because the right choice turns on facts that cannot be verified inside an hour. Filing is not part of it.

Best for a visitor weighing one specific decision before it is made.

Usual timing sixty minutes, usually within a week of asking.

Included

  • Sixty minutes on one named decision
  • The options set out in writing with the trade-offs beside each
  • The figures each option turns on, given as ranges where an exact number is not knowable

Not included filing, and no outcome is promised. The session sets out choices; it does not guarantee a result.

Filing calendar

The dates the six services are built around

  1. Jan 31Wage and contractor statements reach the people named on them.
  2. Mar 15Partnership and S-corporation returns.
  3. Apr 15Individual returns, and the first estimated payment of the year.
  4. Jun 15Second estimated payment.
  5. Sep 15Third estimated payment, and extended partnership and S-corporation returns.
  6. Oct 15Extended individual returns.

Where one of these dates falls at a weekend or a public holiday the filing date moves to the next working day. State dates are confirmed against the calendar that applies to the entity rather than assumed from the federal one.

Reading the calendar

Three of the six services are dated work and three are not. Individual return and small-business return answer to the rows above; quarterly review sits beside the estimated-payment rows. Monthly bookkeeping, new-business setup and tax planning run to their own timetable.

A date on this list is a filing date, not an appointment. Nothing on this page holds a place in a diary.

Side by side

The same six, compared on four points

The figures repeat what each record above already states. Nothing new is introduced here, and a starting figure still applies to the scope printed with the service.

03 · Process

How contact works

01

Send the form or write

Name the service and the one question that matters most. The form asks for a name, an email address, an optional telephone number, the service and a message of at least twenty characters.

02

Receive a written reply

A reply arrives by email or telephone during office hours, Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. It states what the studio can do and what it would cost.

03

Agree the scope, then start

Work begins only after the scope and the figure are agreed in writing. A published price applies to its stated scope; anything beyond it is quoted before it starts.

04 · Suitability

If two services look equally suitable

Suitability depends on the customer's own circumstances and on the scope printed beside each service, so the description alone cannot settle every case. When two options read the same way, the contact form is the shorter route: name both, describe the situation in a sentence or two, and the studio will say which scope fits and what it would cost.

Ask which service fits

05 · Contact

Ask about one of the six

Name the service and the studio will confirm the scope and the figure in writing before anything begins.

Or write to hello@northlinetaxstudio.example and the studio replies Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
