A heating and cooling call, drawn before it is quoted

Clearspan Comfort Works measures a system before pricing work on it. The photograph below is annotated with the four things a technician looks at first, and the key beside it names every one.

A long pale green air handling unit running down a plant room, with insulated ductwork above it and drain pipework at its base

Key to the annotated photograph

  1. 01 Access door and inspection port
  2. 02 Insulated supply duct at ceiling level
  3. 03 Condensate drain and trap run
  4. 04 Isolator and control panel

The four keyed points are the first four checks on a diagnostic visit. Each one is looked at before anything is opened up.

Three of six services

Every service carries its scope and its price on the services sheet. Three are keyed here; the other three are one link away.

How a call is run

A visit starts with measurement rather than with an opinion. Static pressure, temperature split, airflow at the registers and the state of the drain are all read and written down before any part is priced. What follows is a scope on paper with a figure against it, and nothing outside that scope is carried out without a separate approval.

From the equipment file

Three plates from the gallery. Each one is labelled with the equipment it shows and where that equipment usually sits.

The team

Four roles cover the six services. A preferred technician can be named on the contact form and availability is confirmed separately.

  • A cast metal air vent set into a stone wall, its louvres worn and open.

    Wendell Crabtree

    Owner and lead technician

Leads diagnostic and replacement-assessment work with a written account of symptoms, observations and options. The role separates what is known from what still needs measurement and does not promise a repair result before the system is inspected.

  • An outdoor condenser unit standing beside a stone wall, its finned coil face turned to the garden.

    Nadia Belcher

    Service coordinator

Turns enquiries into useful service notes by confirming property type, system type, postal code, access needs and the behavior being reported. This role explains the next response window without advertising round-the-clock or guaranteed emergency service.

Four questions

How should a visitor choose a service?

Start with the service descriptions and prices. Contact the business when two options appear equally suitable.

Are the displayed prices final?

Published prices apply to the stated scope. Any “from” or custom price requires a confirmed estimate before work begins.

What should a first-time visitor prepare?

Provide the property type, a concise description of the issue and safe access information. Do not attempt a hazardous repair before the visit.

Can a visitor request a specific staff member?

Yes. Use the contact form to name a preferred staff member; availability is confirmed separately.

Seasonal notes, occasionally

An email when the seasonal tune-up window opens or a filter schedule is worth a reminder. No fixed schedule, and one link in every message removes an address from the list.
